Monday Muse: Chloe Wise
This week’s Monday muse is Canadian born and New York City based Chloe Wise
. Part of Instagram’s underground art scene, Chloe has a Bachelor of Fine Arts but her approach to creative expression is far from conventional.
A self-proclaimed “Nice Jewish girl”, she became popular after fashionistas
worldwide became obsessed with one of her creations: a bagel-shaped Chanel bag. The piece, obviously titled Bagel N.º5, was part of her 2013 sculpture collection that featured other It bags
transformed into different types of bread. Since then she has been featured in loads of cool publications like Dazed Magazine
She recently became a published author too! Her self-titled book is, like she told i-D Magazine, a printed version of her brain. We can't wait to grap a copy.
When it comes fashion, Chloe seems to have a normcore style mixed with vintage pieces and sporty touches, giving her that super cool look that we love so much!
Check out some of our favourite looks from her:
We love jumpsuits like this one since they're such a simple piece that you can style on so many different ways! This one has a nice belt to define your waist and a loose fit bottom. Chloe paired it with some square heeled boots, very similar to the ones we usually have in store
Peter-pan collar blouses are a vintage staple piece! We love the details on the sleeves, such a cute and feminine top paired with simple black waisted jeans. A classic look and definitely one of our favourites!
Another vintage classic: silky loose fitting blouse tucked into some light wash high waisted mom jeans! A match made in heaver and one of our go-to outfits too.
A cool artsy girls (almost) always as at least a pair of equally cool dungarees! These ones are black and layered on top of a dark shirt but we love them in denim too, styled with fem blouses and thin knit tops for chillier days.
A simple earthy tones ensemble with a fab winged liner and strong brows. She often changes from a very casual normcore look to more put together and classy outfits.
Graphic tees tucked into tight leather skirts make for the perfect everyday outfit and are super easy to transform into a night look too!
Check out some of Chloe's amazing work and get your creative juices flowing!
