street style five

November 25, 2016

Street style is our go to place for keeping up with the latest trends, it-girls and overall daily sartorial inspo. To make your life a bit easier we picked our Top 5 Street Style muses and some of their best looks so far. You’re welcome!
#1 - Giorgia Tordini, The Classic Girl

The fact that she’s Italian comes as no surprise. After all, Giorgia oozes out style and sophistication and her always-impeccable style is one of our major inspo sources for the season.
Fashion is a family matter for Giorgia. Her father is Piero Tordini, Italian shoemaker, and Milan-based showroom Marcona 3 is successfully looked after by the Tordini clan.
She is also the co-founder and designer of Attico, an online conceptual label.
We love her well-structured and tailored jackets, sleek hair and sober choice of accessories, making her our go-to style muse when we’re fancying something slightly more elegant and classic.

#2 - Imaan Hammam, The Sporty Chick

Despite being (only!) 20 years old, this Dutch-Moroccan beauty has already made our street style inspo list. Additionally, she was mentioned by Anna Wintour herself on an Editor’s Letter after her Vogue Debut (no big deal).

Since then, she has been featured in publications like I-d Magazine, LOVE Magazine and numerous editions of Vogue, including its September Issue (aka fashion’s Bible).

What first got our attention was her casual style with sporty vibes and the “no makeup” makeup look. We, too, love bomber jackets, skinny jeans and black leather boots so Imaan instantly became one of our faves.

#3 - Jeanne Damas, The French Mademoiselle

Jeanne is the classic case of “blogger-turned-model” with a twist. She’s a designer (she recently partnered with The Reformation and has her own label, Rouge) and overall fashion icon but most importantly (at least for us!) she’s the embodiment of Parisian style.

Her street style is to die for and a constant source of inspiration for out shoots here at BOAW!

Jeanne can be seen with perfectly fitting jeans, silky blouses, trench coats, roll-necks and (last but not least) THE perfect shade of red lipstick.

#4 - Julia Sarr-Jamois, the Girl Boss

She’s the Senior Fashion Editor of i-D Magazine so you know she means business. She first started as an intern at Wonderland Magazine but quickly made her way to the top, which comes as no surprise if you consider her sense of style and amazing editorial skills.

We love how daring she can be with clothes! Julia is often photographed sporting bright colourful outfits, puffy coats and chunky knits. She’s clearly not afraid of taking risks and that’s why we saved her a spot in our list.

#5 - Cate Underwood, the Grunge Babe

She describes herself as “Ninieties’ redux aesthetics” and “Deejay” (not DJ), which is pretty much the perfect combo when it comes to stylish it-girls.

The Ukrainian-born model and photographer caught our eye with her grungy vibes and all black outfits. She often rocks leather, fishnet stockings and crazy high-heeled boots so we knew we had to feature her as well! Black leather jackets and black skinny jeans seem to be her uniform, so we’re naming Cate our resident grunge style muse from now on.
